How many seasons does Demon Slayer have?
The first episode of the anime version of Demon Slayer came out on April 6, 2019, and the 26 episodes of the first season ended on September 28, 2019. All of the episodes aired as part of a single season that ran for almost six months without any breaks. This is a bit unusual, as most anime series are split into two seasons of 10-15 episodes each, based on how many episodes are in the whole series.
On October 10, 2021, the season 2 of Demon Slayer began to air. Do you need to watch Demon Slayer in order?
You should, indeed, watch the episodes of the Demon Slayer anime in chronological order. However, if you've seen the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, you can skip the first 7 episodes of the second season and start from the 8th episode, as they just recreate the film's story in episodes.
