Trinity Seven: Trinity Seven is an
ecchi anime about a young boy, Arata Kasuga, who becomes the next Demon Lord candidate. And along with him are beautiful ladies willing to do anything! Here’s all you need to know about this anime before watching it.
What is Trinity Seven About?
Trinity Seven is an ecchi anime based on the manga “Trinity Seven: The Seven Magicians” written by Kenji Saito and illustrated by Akinari Nao. It’s an action fantasy comedy that revolves around the young Arata Kasuga and his harem of beautiful mages bound to him by destiny.
Arata lived a happy and peaceful life with his cousin until noticing the sun had strangely turned black, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! The strange phenomenon also erased the world and everybody he knew.
Arata decides to become a mage himself to undo the damages caused by the phenomenon and save his beloved cousin. He enrolls at the magical school Royal Biblia Academy, where he meets seven beautiful mages who are masters at their techniques: The Trinity Seven!
Trinity Seven Characters
Arata Kasuga
Arata Kasuga, the main character of Trinity Seven, is a rather blunt and usually calm individual. Due to his magic potential, the Royal Biblia Academy considers him a strong candidate to become the demon lord. His primary magic, “Stark Naked Magic,” can momentarily control all magic in the surrounding area and forcibly dispel them — but as a consequence, it often results in clothes being removed!
Trinity Seven Characters: The Mages
Trinity Seven is a group of seven female mages that have mastered their magic type, Archive. They are destined to meet the Demon Lord, and their encounter will lead to the creation of a new world.
Lilith Asami
Despite being seventeen years old, Lilith Asami is the Trinity Seven of the Luxuria Archive and a teacher at the Royal Biblia Academy. Lilith is kind and caring but also strict and composed, which is mature for her age. She was the first to meet Arata and the one who introduced him to magic.
Arin Kannazuki
Arin Kannazuki is the Trinity Seven of the Ira Archive. Her appearance strongly resembles Arata's cousin, Hijiri. Arin is generally emotionless and is unbothered by social rules. She often struggles to understand how to behave as a regular teenager. She’s very focused on her power and study of magic.
Levi Kazama
The ninja girl, Levi Kazama, is the Trinity Seven of Invidia and another student at the Royal Biblia Academy. She is highly skilled and considered the best among the world's tricksters, fighters, and strongest people! Overall, Levi is calm and friendly. She rarely loses her cool, even under stressful situations.
Akio Fudo
Akio Fudo is the Trinity Seven of the Gula Archive. She was initially an enemy of Arata but became friends with him due to her easygoing and optimistic nature.
Akio is cheerful and friendly, and rarely loses her composure even in front of her enemies. She's not so nice when it comes to fighting, though! She likes battling, and is excited to face strong opponents. Akio is the kind that won't take it easy even if it's just training!
Yui Kurata
Yui Kurata is much younger than the others. She’s only fourteen years old and the Trinity Seven of Avaritia Archive. She soon became close to Arata when he and the other girls saved her from a dungeon prison. Yui is cheerful, but her mood is more easily affected by circumstances than the others.
Lieselotte Sherlock
Lieselotte Sherlock, or simply Liese, is the Trinity Seven of Acedia. She initially appears as an evil mage, threatening Arata and the entire school. However, Lieselotte changed sides once defeated. She is seductive and ambitious and doesn’t hesitate to use her charm to trick men into getting what she wants.
Mira Yamana
Mira Yamana is the Trinity Seven of the Superbia Archive. Due to her rigid and unfriendly nature, she is initially hostile towards Arata but eventually accepts him. Mira intensely dislikes anything or anyone she considers impure. She’s a strict young woman with a strong sense of duty.
Trinity Seven Manga
The original manga was published in December 2010 and is still ongoing, with over 140 chapters currently grouped in 29 manga volumes. Others are released regularly in the Monthly Dragon Age magazine.
The author, Kenji Saito, has also written the spin-off series Trinity Seven: Lieselotte Chronicle, Anastasia Holy Story, and Trinity Seven-san. Each one has multiple chapters.
Trinity Seven Novel Series
Kenji Saito also wrote a three-volume light novel series for Trinity Seven from 2014 to 2018. The light novel presents new adventures involving Arata and the Trinity Seven.
Trinity Seven Anime
The anime was produced with Seven Arcs and aired in Japan from October 7, 2014, to December 23, 2014. It has 12 episodes, and a special OVA aired in 2015. Currently, Trinity Seven is available on streaming.
Aside from the episodes, two films have been released: Trinity Seven: Eternity Library & Alchemic Girl — which is an adaptation of the second light novel written by Kenji Saito — and Trinity Seven Movie 2: Heavens Library to Crimson Lord.
Trinity Seven Season 2: What we know so far
Although it’s been long awaited by fans of Trinity Seven, there haven’t been any announcements about more episodes being produced. The first season and movie releases only cover a small portion of the available material created for Trinity Seven. So there’s hope for a comeback.
Final Considerations
Trinity Seven is a splendid title for those interested in ecchi anime and manga! It delivers a complex, captivating story featuring beautiful female anime characters and good fanservice. Despite the lack of plans for Trinity Seven Season Two, the regular publishing of new chapters proves the manga is worth trying.
